What counts as a non-runner
Anything that cannot legally or mechanically be driven: no engine start, failed MOT, no tax or insurance, accident damage, seized brakes, a stripped project, a category-marked write-off or a vehicle sitting on flat tyres after months off the road. All of these travel on the trailer rather than under their own power.
How we load a vehicle that will not move
The trailer carries an electric winch, low-angle ramps, wheel skates and recovery straps. Most non-runners are winched straight up the ramps and strapped down over the wheels. Where the steering is locked or a wheel is missing, skates go under the affected corners so the car can be guided into position without dragging.

Tell us whether the car starts, whether it rolls and steers, whether you have keys, and what the surface and access are like — gravel driveway, sloped garage, multi-storey, rear alley. A couple of photos usually answers all of it. With that, the price we give is the price you pay.

- Can you move a car with no keys?
- Often yes, provided the steering is not locked and the wheels turn. Tell us in advance so we can bring skates and extra winch equipment. If the steering is locked and the car cannot roll, we will discuss the options before booking.
- What if the wheels will not turn?
- Seized brakes, missing wheels or accident damage need skates or a specialist recovery approach. Send us photos and we will confirm whether we can load it and what it will cost.
- Do you collect insurance write-offs and salvage?
- Yes. We regularly collect Cat S, Cat N and unrecorded damaged vehicles from homes, garages, storage compounds and salvage yards, and deliver to repairers, dismantlers or buyers.
- How much does non-runner transport cost?
- It is priced on the road miles between postcodes plus a non-running handling charge from £75, which covers the extra loading time and winching equipment. Everything appears in the estimate breakdown.
